Chinese LED Screens toward the International Market

From 1993 to today, national LED markets has kept a steady growth.According to Taiwan PIPA, domestic screen market has its growth rate about 40%. The development on optoelectronics as a basis facilitates a fast development LED display industry non-officially. According to data sources, the 1997 year's led tubes increased 0.7 billion units only over 1996. At the same time ,LED production value increased 13.89 billion dollars. Non-officially used LED(domestic) was not imported especially green and red lamps. Among, there is LED screen value. In fact , most of 1.389 billion dollars of 1997 year was created by LED screen . Thus, Taiwan PIPA estimation's 1999 year's mainland LED industry's 0.77 billion dollars is a preservative number. According to another information source, 0.8billion dollars of 1998 estimated if is a basis , then we think that the production value of 1996 year's LED should be 0.4billion dollars.Actually, the statistic shows that production of 1997 was 0.6 billion dollars and of 1996 1 billion dollars.     According to the latest statistic data , 2000 year's LED market value was 1.4 to 1.5 billion dollars. The 2001 year statistic shows that this year's national marketed led sale was up about 2 billion dollars. Annual growth rate in 1996,1999,2000,and 2001 was respectively about 40%. Only 1998 year was 30%. In 2001 year's national LED screen turnover includes 80% from the association member companies. Their shares are 1.6 billion dollars.     Recently ,in domestic market ,domestic LED screen market occupies near 100% while foreign products of their kinds have any market share basically. The famous worldwide bingbong tennis contest was held in Tianjin, and its main contest hall is equipped domestic led screens. More domestic LED screens also are used in Jingjiu railway, Capital airport , and pudong airport and etc. Domestic LED screen  products and market fast-growth are with numerous enterprises. Now, main enterprises with a large scale are not formed thus many makers are struggling for a predomination position. As the screen product market's competition becomes ordered gradually, it becomes the competition on scale and brand. When three or five large enterprises form whose market share occupies mor 50%, then the screen market will be approached mature.     According to LED screen profession committee statistic shows that its member enterprises in 2001 exported products with value about 0.4 billions. This is a good evidence for going to abroad markets. Going internationally for our domestic LED svreen industry will let led improve largely.
